Dear friends and colleagues interested in the DECHEMA/VDI specialist groups "Crystallization" and "Drying Technology",

The annual meeting will take place from March 4 to 6, 2026, at the DECHEMA House in Frankfurt am Main. Whether in chemical production, the food industry, pharmaceutical technology, energy storage and conversion, or raw material extraction – particle production is a daily task in many sectors. In this context, process control, energy efficiency, productivity, and the resulting product quality play a decisive role. This annual meeting provides an excellent opportunity for intensive exchange between industry, research institutions, and universities. The lecture program will cover topics ranging from theoretical modeling and fundamentals to in-depth experimental research and industrial applications.

Submissions are now open.

Contributions of particular interest for both specialist groups are welcome, e.g., on processes involving consecutive crystallization and drying, as well as on the influence of particle properties adjustable during crystallization on drying behavior.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

We invite contributions (oral or poster presentations) from research institutions, universities, and industry. Work that is not yet completed or planned projects can also be presented. Especially welcome are contributions that describe practical challenges or address future research needs from industry. In accordance with the statutes of both specialist groups, awards for outstanding work (presentations and posters) will also be presented during the annual meeting.

The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2025.

The final program and schedule will be announced in December 2025, after the submission deadline and program compilation.
